My experience in Cyprus, by F. Ambrosio

The mobility to Cyprus was the first mobility of this project, taking place from December 2 to December 6, 2024.
This experience was very educational for me, both linguistically—since speaking English 24/7 greatly improved my communication skills—and personally, as being in another country with different cultures and a language different from the one I’m used to speaking enhanced my adaptability. Staying in the home of people I had only spoken to over the phone felt strange at first, but their entire family made me feel at home. Even though some of them didn’t speak English, they did everything they could to communicate with me. The Cypriot students and their families were very welcoming and made everyone feel at home.
I always felt a sense of missing Italy—not hearing my language every day was very strange.
Of course, I missed my family and friends a lot, and not talking to them every morning made me realize how much I care about them. However, the thing I missed the most was the food.
Despite that, this experience helped me grow a lot and adapt to cultures different from my own.

Visit to the EU offices in Rome (March 2025)

Some experiences

On March 24th our group Erasmus+ went to Rome to visit the European Union offices and take part in a conference about cyber security.

We went there by train to Rome and lateri walked to the building where the conference would take place.
It was a long walk, also because it was sunny and hot, but it was great fun.
Just as we arrived at the building, a guide welcomed and brought us in.
The building was composed of three main rooms: two on the ground floor where you could learn a lot about the European Union through interactive panels and desks and one underground.
After learning some information and playing a Kahoot quiz about the European Union, we joined the conference attended, in addition to cyber security experts and entrepreneurs, by politicians such as members of the European Council, who made us reflect about being safe on the internet.
After that we went to Trevi ’s Fountain, which was very crowded, and had lunch there.

CYPRUS MOBILITY

The first Mobility of Teachers and pupils took place in Limassol, Cyprus , from the 2d to the 7th of Decenber 2024 and involved a lot of interesting activities which took place not only in the hosting School premises, but also in other places of interest focusing on the mail targets of our project.

The participating students and teachers were welcomed by the wonderful and lovely Cypriot hosts and had the opportunity of meeting the Major of Limassol, attending a Lecture at the CUT and EuroMed conference, visit the archaeological site of Kourion and the Loufu village, the archaeological museum in Nicosia and the Ledra Street checkpoint meanwhile getting to know each other and attending workshops to better understand common cultural values.
