Last week, the third mobility of the Erasmus+ project “Citizens Without Borders” involving pupils from Greece (hosting country), Italy, Sweden and Cyprus ended. During this mobility, the students had the opportunity to participate in cooperative activities and educational trips to deepen their understanding of shared cultural values ​​and the founding principles of the EU.
Together with their Greek, Swedish, and Cypriot peers, they participated in a workshop on sustainable professions with representatives of the European office and researchers from the University of Ioannina. They presented their mutimedia works, met the Deputy Mayor of Preveza and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, visited sites of historical and cultural interest, and spent their free time like true locals!

The farewell party was a lot of fun, with dancing, singing and pride for the certificates ceremony, but a lot of tears were also shed after a very intense week together, rich in emotions and wonderful experiences.
The last day was dedicated to exploring the cultural monuments of Rome, with a guided visit to the Colosseum as a case study on the effects of climate change on cultural heritage. Our wonderful city enchants visitors as usual, but every time it’s an astonishing view for Italians as well!
Celebrating Europe Day
During our visit in Rome, the groups had the opportunity to get an overview of the Capitol Square, seat of the city council. The square is surrounded by beautiful buildings, one of which hosted the meeting during which the Treaty of Rome was signed in 1957. The students had therefore the opportunity of meditating about the birth of the European Economic Community and of celebrating Europe Day 2025 by composing a sentence with different posters.
The flowers and trees are the ones you can admire in one of the world most famous botanical gardens, the Gardens of Ninfa, while the town is the lovely Sermoneta, clinging to the mountain side.
Today the students learnt about biodynamic farming and of its importance to sustainability. They also had the opportunity to taste products of the farm in a lovely environment …even if it started raining!
We later drove to the banks of the lake where two older students guided a tour in the garden near the lake and finally we had a picnic all together with a beautiful sunshine!

The Erasmus+ Citizens Without Borders team welcomed students and teachers from Cyprus, Greece and Sweden in Latina for the mobility taking place between 5 and 10 May 2025. Our students guided their foreign peers in the discovery of the lovely landscapes and artistic beauties of Latina and Rome. The mobility ended with a farewell party characterized by lots of fun but also lots of emotion!
It seemed a distant future but the groups have finally arrived. The students and their families welcomed them in the city center. We were all very excited!
